Exploring the Journey of Water – A Hands-on Learning Experience at Xilin County Wastewater Treatment Plant
As part of our commitment to circular economy principles and sustainable development, we actively engage in public environmental education, fostering awareness and responsibility for ecological protection.
On April 28, 2024, students from Xilin County Ethnic Senior High School embarked on an educational tour at the Xilin County Wastewater Treatment Plant, operated by our company. This immersive experience allowed students to witness firsthand the transformation of wastewater into clean water, deepening their understanding of water resource management and environmental sustainability.
Following a safety briefing, students and teachers toured the key treatment stages under the guidance of expert staff. The tour provided a step-by-step walkthrough of how wastewater from households and industries undergoes treatment before being safely discharged back into nature.
With interactive explanations, students gained insights into the science behind wastewater purification, learning how various treatment processes remove contaminants and restore water clarity. Witnessing the once murky wastewater transform into crystal-clear water, ready to re-enter the natural ecosystem, left students amazed.
Beyond observation, students engaged in hands-on activities, assisting staff in collecting and testing water samples. They learned how to use specialized instruments for water quality analysis, gaining practical skills while reinforcing the importance of scientific approaches in environmental protection.
This interactive learning experience not only deepened students’ knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies but also strengthened their awareness of water conservation and ecological responsibility.
